It is a disturbing video. Only idiots can believe that these were ‘aid’ or ‘peace activists’.
World’s intelligence is probably plummeting, when it stridently opposes this incident. Ofcourse these people were only self proclaimed ‘peace activists’ . To me they were just malevolent ‘pro-Palestine’ Jihadists.

My impression is that the activists on the ships that were attacked also have videos. Videos can be edited, and both sides have reason to edit the videos they release to us.
In any event, this seems to fit Talleyrand's line "Worse than a crime, it was a blunder". The relatively cordial Israeli relationship with Turkey is gone, at least for a while. Even the US wants an international investigation, thugh the US is willing to have Israel lead it. Most of the rest of the world has decided that the Israelis have to have been guilty. This probably costs Israel more than stopping the ships was worth.
For myself, I'm not sure that Israel has a case under the Law of the Sea, which is the international law governing maritime affairs. If Israel dodn't have the right to stop the ship it dod't have the right to kill people for resisting their attempt to stop the ship.. So let's hear from the lawyers, and hope no one else (on either side) gets killed or injured.

Both sides have videos and they sure can be 'edited' to show only one side of the story. However, the videos released by Israel's govt are definitely not 'manipulated' . Those set of events shown in the video did happen.
Why do you think was the need to resort to violence if they had noble intentions of getting the aid
across?

Resisting? These people would have killed those soldiers if not for their timely use of weapons.What sort of resistance is this??I am sure there are better ways of "resisting". Moreover, if one wants to choose "violence" as a form of resistance, he should not whine about retaliation from the other side.
I mean - if soldiers wouldn't have retaliated - we would probably be discussing about how pathetic the organisation flotilla is - who killed soldiers on their way to aid mission.Just because it happened other way round - we are damning the

I obviously think being ridiculed by world is a better option than sacrificing a life to be politically right.Isn't it a natural instinct to act in self-defense.
Mind you,those soldiers were not even prepared for a fight, which is why they were carrying paint-ball guns.Their orders were to use the main weapon only in case their lives were in danger, which is what they did. What does one expect ??
I agree with the fact that loss of life is unfortunate, but retaliation per se is not.
